These Terms and Conditions apply to all work carried out by Baxley Group for our clients. By accepting a quotation or allowing work to begin, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Quotations
All quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
Quotes are based on the information available at the time of inspection.
Any additional work requested that is not included in the original quotation may be charged separately and agreed before proceeding.
2. Deposits & Booking Your Start Date
A deposit is required to secure a start date for your project.
Work will not be scheduled until the deposit has been received.
Deposits are non-refundable.
3. Jobs Over £5,000 – Progress Payment
For projects with a total value over £5,000:
A progress payment invoice must be paid before the start date.
This payment is required to allow for the purchase of materials, equipment, and preparation costs.
The remaining balance will be invoiced according to the agreed payment schedule or on completion of the works.
4. Payment Terms
All invoices must be paid by the due date stated on the invoice.
Final payment is due immediately upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Late payments may result in delays, suspension of work, or additional charges.
5. Cancellations & Delays
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide as much notice as possible.
Cancellations made at short notice may result in loss of deposit due to allocated labour and scheduling.
We are not responsible for delays caused by factors outside our control, including weather conditions, supplier delays, or access restrictions.
6. Access & Working Conditions
The customer must provide safe and reasonable access to the property during agreed working hours.
Work areas should be cleared where possible prior to our arrival.
We are not responsible for delays caused by restricted access or unsafe conditions.
7. Materials & Finishes
Unless stated otherwise, materials will be selected based on suitability, durability, and professional standards.
Colour choices and finishes must be confirmed before work begins.
We cannot be held responsible for slight variations in colour due to lighting, surface condition, or manufacturer batches.
8. Additional Work
Any work requested outside the original quotation will be discussed and priced separately.
Additional work will only be carried out once approved by the customer.
9. Care of Property
We take care to protect surrounding areas and furnishings.
While every effort is made to avoid damage, we cannot be held responsible for pre-existing issues such as cracked plaster, loose surfaces, or previously damaged areas that become apparent during preparation.
10. Completion & Snagging
Upon completion, customers are encouraged to inspect the work.
Any reasonable snagging items should be reported within 7 days so they can be addressed promptly.
11. Health & Safety
Baxley Group operates in line with current health and safety regulations.
Customers must ensure pets and children are kept clear of work areas for safety reasons.
